The player empowerment era has been a controversial one and Kevin Durant continued the trend of teaming up with other stars when he requested a trade to the Phoenix Suns.
Durant paired up with Devin Booker after last season’s trade deadline and the two led the Suns to the Western Conference semifinals.
However, team governor Mat Ishbia wasn’t satisfied and approved an aggressive move to trade for Bradley Beal, forming the NBA’s most recent “Big 3.”
The trio is finally healthy and has the Suns right in the middle of the playoff race this season, though there’s a lot of work for them to do to catch up to the top of the conference.
In this day and age, stars have proven they can play past their primes and still be effective on the floor.
During All-Star Weekend, Durant revealed who he believes can play deep into their careers via The Washington Post.
“Kevin Durant thinks he, Steph and LeBron can play into their 40s.”

LeBron James is an anomaly as he is the oldest player in the NBA yet still playing at an All-NBA level.
Meanwhile, Stephen Curry is having another excellent season and is the primary reason why the Golden State Warriors have been surging as of late.
Durant himself has shown signs of decline, but at his best remains the most potent offensive option in the league and capable of getting a bucket whenever his team needs one.
The three superstars define their generation and all of them don’t show any signs of retiring any time soon.
