The San Francisco 49ers will be playing for all the marbles when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11 in Las Vegas.
For many of their players, it will be an opportunity to complete the unfinished business from Super Bowl LIV when they blew a late 10-point lead and lost to the Chiefs.
Star tight end George Kittle was on that 2019 team, and he had a simple message to his teammates as far as getting prepared — he told them to keep doing what they have been doing to get to this point, per NBC Sports.
“Stick to your routine,” Kittle said.
“Just do what you’ve been doing, what’s been working for you. And celebrate when you’re done.”

Playing in the Super Bowl means having tons of distractions, and shutting out those peripheral opponents is one key to taking home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Four years ago, San Francisco wasn’t nearly as talented or seasoned as they are today, as All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, and quarterback Brock Purdy hadn’t arrived yet.
At age 30, Kittle is one of the team’s elder statesmen, and he had a strong regular season by putting up 1,020 yards and six touchdowns en route to his fifth Pro Bowl selection and second All-Pro First-Team nod.
He and his teammates will be going up against a Kansas City defense that has suddenly become elite by ranking second in both points and total yards allowed during the regular season.
The 49ers will appear in their third Super Bowl in the last 12 seasons, but they haven’t won it all since the 1994 campaign.
