The Golden State Warriors continued their poor run in the 2023-24 NBA season following their most recent defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Warriors have now plummeted to a 19-24 record this season, with nothing seemingly going their way.

After all, the Warriors remain the 12th seed in the Western Conference with 39 games left to be played in the season.

Theoretically, it’s still possible for the Warriors to make an unexpected comeback in the second half of the season.

As unlikely as it may seem, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is betting on that chance after reviewing the team’s performance against the Los Angeles Lakers, as revealed via 95.7 The Game.

“As long as we keep playing the way that we did tonight, I think we’re going to turn this around and have a great season,” Kerr said.

Kerr was absolutely clear that he wanted his team to continue playing at the same level that they played against the Lakers.

Although the game ended in a heartbreaking loss for the Warriors, it was just a one-point loss for the organization.

After all, the Warriors matched the Lakers step-to-step in a game that went to double-overtime.

Stephen Curry was obviously the star of the show for the Warriors, with 46 points, 3 rebounds, and 7 assists in 43 minutes of playing time.

Coming back to Kerr’s comments, he showed immense trust in his players by claiming that the Warriors can turn this season around and go on a great run.

It’s always good to be confident in your team, but is Steve Kerr simply showing too much trust in his players, despite everything pointing against it so far in the 2023-24 NBA season? Only time will tell.
