$2 Million Homes in California


This house, which has been owned by the same family for 50 years, retains many of its original architectural details, including hardwood floors, built-ins and molding. It is on a tree-lined street where many houses date to the 1920s, in the Claremont district, a few blocks from Claremont Club & Spa, a hotel that opened in 1915.

John Muir Elementary School is half a mile away. Driving to the campus of the University of California, Berkeley takes about 10 minutes. Downtown Oakland is 15 minutes away. San Francisco is about a half-hour drive, depending on traffic.
