Why Trump Campaigns at the Courthouse

Dan Pfeiffer: “Ultimately, Trump is at the courthouse because that’s where the cameras are. He knows that trying to intimidate the judge, jury and his accuser will dominate the political conversation. Trump starves his lesser known primary opponents of the oxygen they need to become known by the voters.”

“This tactic is particularly impactful now as Nikki Haley is trying to build momentum for her campaign heading into Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary. Haley’s one (very long) shot was performing well in Iowa and riding a wave of free media attention as the last remaining credible opponent to Trump (sorry Tiny D!). Now, of course, Haley didn’t exactly perform well in New Hampshire, but even still, Trump’s courthouse shenanigans are making it more challenging for her to get the attention she needs.”
