Two Special Elections to Watch

Just for members: The latest edition of Inside Elections.

This issue includes a deep dive into two, important, upcoming special elections in New York’s 3rd district (to replace George Santos) and Ohio’s 6th (to replace Bill Johnson). The Ohio seat will stay in Republican hands, but Democrats have an opportunity to win in New York, which could get them a seat closer to the majority next year and make it more difficult for Republicans to legislate this year.

The edition also includes a detailed look at Inside Elections’ Baseline metric (which measures partisan performance) and Vote Above Replacement (which measures candidate strength), as well as rating charts for the Senate, House, and President.
