The past week has been a rough one for the Golden State Warriors as they dropped three straight games, all against teams projected to make the playoffs.
The Warriors lost games to the Denver Nuggets, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks, a clear sign that they’re at least a couple of tiers away from the best teams in the NBA during the 2023-24 season.
Golden State just hasn’t looked the same on either end of the floor this year, and a lot of that has to do with the regression of their key players.
Draymond Green hasn’t been available due to multiple suspensions, while Andrew Wiggins is lacking confidence in his game.
However, the biggest surprise has been the rapid decline of Klay Thompson who is having the worst season of his career.
Thompson was wildly ineffective the past three games and fans reacted to his box score numbers during that stretch via Legion Hoops.

The fanbase has been letting Thompson hear it all season, and it feels like his tenure with the franchise could be coming to an end.
The two sides broke off extension negotiations, and Thompson has done everything to show that the Warriors might’ve been right to hold off on giving him long-term money.
This version of Thompson is a far cry from the sharpshooter that he’s known to be, and the organization is now faced with a very tough decision regarding his future.
