The Tennessee Titans don’t have much to play for during the remainder of the 2023 NFL season as they were eliminated from the playoffs.

It was a rough season for the Titans who were inconsistent every week, though it seems the team finally embraced the need to evaluate its young talent as head coach Mike Vrabel has been starting Will Levis over Ryan Tannehill.

Levis, a second-round pick, dazzled in his debut with a four-touchdown performance but since then has been struggling to find his footing with opposing teams being able to gameplan for him.

Throughout the week, Levis has been trying to work his way back from an ankle injury he suffered on Tennessee’s final offensive snap in their overtime loss to the Houston Texans.

It was a similar sprain to the one Tannehill suffered earlier in the season, so Levis should be in line to miss time.

In fact, it looks like Tannehill will get his chance to start again as Levis is unlikely to be cleared to play against the Seattle Seahawks via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

Titans QB Will Levis (questionable, ankle) is unlikely to start Sunday vs. Seahawks, per source, setting the stage for Ryan Tannehill to make his first start since Week 6,” Fowler tweeted.

This was the expected outcome, so Tannehill will have the opportunity to show that he’s worthy of starting for another team next season given the Titans’ investment in Levis.

The veteran didn’t look great to begin the season, so it’ll be interesting to see how he holds up against a Seattle team looking to keep their postseason hopes alive.
