Deebo Samuel Has High Praise For Bengals WR

The Cincinnati Bengals have been able to put together a very competitive team, mostly because most of their stars are still on rookie deals.

But all good things come to an end, and this core might not be the exception.

WR Tee Higgins could be in for a huge contract in the offseason, and with Joe Burrow’s extension and Ja’Marr Chase also looking at a big payday sooner rather than later, they might not be able to keep everybody around for the long run.

With that in mind, Kay Adams asked San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel whether he thought Higgins would be a WR1 somewhere else next season, and the talented WR/RB didn’t hesitate to say yes (via Up & Adams).

Samuel talked about how consistent he’s been since he entered the league, and how Higgins has always stepped up big time when his team has needed him because of injury or any given situation, so he’s already proven that he can be the No. 1 guy in any offense.

Higgins is talented and explosive, but he’s been kind of overshadowed by Ja’Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd.

Losing him would be a massive blow for the Bengals’ passing game, even if they’re able to hold onto the aforementioned duo.

Higgins has earned his stripes and there could be plenty of teams more than willing to break the bank and give him some big bucks, with the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Kansas City Chiefs as three logical and potential destinations.
