After losing eight of their first 10 games this season and looking dead in the water, the New York Giants have risen from the ashes a bit.

They have won three straight games with rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito doing a fine job of replacing the injured Daniel Jones, and all of a sudden, they may have an outside shot at making the playoffs.

If they are to somehow reach the postseason, they will likely have to win all four of their remaining games, and that starts with Sunday’s game versus the New Orleans Saints, who are 6-7 and also fighting for a playoff spot in the NFC.

Giants tight end Darren Waller has been dealing with a hamstring issue, but he said per Jordan Raanan that he had “no issues” with it this week and that he “fully expects” to play this Sunday.

New York brought in Waller this offseason in an effort to give themselves some much-needed firepower in their passing game.

Last season, they ranked near the bottom of the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns, and only one of their players reached 600 receiving yards.

In eight games this year, Waller has contributed 384 yards, but he hasn’t played since Week 8 when they lost in overtime to their MetLife Stadium co-inhabitants, the New York Jets.

After this weekend, the Giants will head down I-95 for a difficult game versus the defending conference champion Philadelphia Eagles before closing out the year with home games against the Los Angeles Rams and those same Eagles.
