Suns’ Beal returns from injury vs. Warriors, Durant out

Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal is set to return on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors after missing 12 games due to a back injury.

The 12-10 Suns were expecting the matchup to be the long-awaited debut of their star trio of Beal, Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. However, that won’t be the case as Durant is listed as out versus his former squad with a left ankle sprain.

After signing with Phoenix in the offseason, Beal missed the start of the season while dealing with a back injury. He made his debut two weeks in before missing a month with the same back issues, and played three games for the Suns.

However, Booker didn’t suit up in any of those games as he dealt with an ankle injury of his own that had him sidelined for five straight games.

Meanwhile, Durant has been relatively reliable for the Suns but will miss his fourth game of the early season with the DNP against the Warriors.

Through three games, Beal averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 2.7 rebounds. In his absence, the duo of Durant and Booker have each averaged over 27 points on 34-plus minutes.

While Phoenix fans wait for their big three to get on the floor at the same time, they’ll hope the team can snap a two-game losing skid as they host Golden State.
