$2.5 Million Homes in New Jersey, California and Arizona

This home was designed by Lloyd Wright, Frank Lloyd Wright’s son, who worked extensively in Southern California, on his projects of his own, like Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, as well as buildings associated with his father. The sellers have updated the house with a new HVAC system, new windows and new plumbing.

The property is close to a park with a playground and to a shopping center with a Ralphs grocery store. The campus of California State University Long Beach is less than five minutes away by car. Driving to downtown Long Beach or Long Beach Airport takes about 15 minutes. Los Angeles is about 40 minutes away.

Size: 2,382 square feet

Price per square foot: $1,047

Indoors: Steps ascend from the street to the front door, which opens into a living room with a double-sided cinder-block fireplace and glass walls overlooking the street and the back patio.

On one side of the fireplace is an area with built-in shelves and cabinets, used by the sellers as a home office. On the other side is an open dining space. Beyond the dining area is an updated kitchen with a breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances.

Two bedrooms are off a hallway extending from the living area. The primary suite, at the far end, includes a bedroom with patio and backyard access and a bathroom with a combined tub and shower. The other bedroom has the use of a bathroom off the hall with a shower and a free-standing soaking tub.

From the hallway, stairs lead down to the lower level, where there is a den with its own exterior entrance. The third bedroom is also on this level; it has the use of a bathroom with a soaking tub. A second full bathroom with a walk-in shower is on the other side of the den.

Outdoor space: The front patio, above the driveway, is big enough to hold a grill and a dining table. The patio in the backyard currently accommodates lounge furniture and a fire pit. There is room to park two cars in the driveway.
