Despite losing Kirk Cousins for the remainder of the 2023 NFL season, the Minnesota Vikings have been able to stay afloat in the standings and remain in the hunt for a Wild Card spot.

Joshua Dobbs has been a revelation all season between his stints with the Arizona Cardinals and Vikings, and it’s even more impressive considering he hasn’t had his full allotment of weapons in Minnesota.

Aside from Cousins, the Vikings have also been without Justin Jefferson who suffered a significant hamstring injury earlier in the year.

Jefferson is arguably the league’s best wideout when healthy and it appears he is finally nearing a return to play considering he has gotten in several limited practices over the past few weeks.

Minnesota is set to take on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football for Week 12 and Jefferson is listed as questionable for the contest.

Tom Pelissero reported that the Vikings will make a final decision on whether or not to activate Jefferson from injured reserve hours before kickoff via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Pelissero notes that Jefferson has been feeling good after practices, though the organization is being cautious with their superstar.

He also said that Minnesota is mindful of the team’s Week 13 bye week, meaning that they could choose to keep Jefferson on the sidelines for Week 12 in order to give him an extra week of rest and recovery.

Fans are eager to see Jefferson back on the field because he’s a legitimate game-changer on the offensive end, so it’ll be interesting to see what the Vikings end up doing.
