Last season, the Denver Broncos were historically bad on offense in quarterback Russell Wilson’s maiden voyage with the team.
Wilson played terribly, and the Broncos went just 5-12 and missed the playoffs.
They went out and hired head coach Sean Payton, hoping he would revitalize their offense, and while their offense has improved, it still ranks in the middle of the league in multiple categories.
Still, Wilson, per Zac Stevens, insists that his team’s offense has gotten the job done when it has needed to.

Through nine games, Wilson has completed 67.9 percent of his pass attempts and thrown for 1,806 yards and 18 touchdowns while throwing only four interceptions.
He actually is tied for the third-most touchdown passes in the NFL and is fourth with a passer rating of 104.0.
This year, it is actually Denver’s defense that is the big problem.
Their defense came into Thursday last in both points and total yards allowed, and they have given up over 350 yards of total offense six times already.
However, there may be a glimmer of hope for a Broncos franchise that has struggled ever since Peyton Manning’s retirement following the 2015 season.
They have won three games in a row, and that streak includes victories over the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills.
This weekend, Denver will host a Minnesota Vikings team that has won five games in a row despite injuries to star wide receiver Justin Jefferson and quarterback Kirk Cousins, and the following week, they will face the surprising Cleveland Browns, who have been dynamite on defense.
