The Arizona Cardinals have been one of the NFL’s most surprising teams this season.
After finishing the 2022 season with a 4-13 record, many expected them to turn things around, especially with a new coaching staff.
However, the Cardinals have only won one game this season, keeping them on a similar trajectory.
One of the biggest detriments to the Cardinals’ season is inconsistency at quarterback.
Kyler Murray has still not returned from injury, although, fans were recently treated to an update from Adam Schefter.
According to Schefter, Murray is gearing up to make his season debut in Week 10 against the Atlanta Falcons.
In addition to preparing Kyler Murray to play Sunday vs. Atlanta, the Cardinals also are hoping to open the practice window for RB James Conner, who has been on injured reserve the past four games recovering from his knee injury. So two key Cardinals both are on their way back.

Schefter also indicated that James Conner could be back soon, as the team might be opening up his window to return to practice.
Murray and Conner are two of the Cardinals’ most dynamic playmakers.
Having one of them back on the field would be positive, but having them both out there could result in massive offensive changes.
Clayton Tune got the starting nod for the Cardinals in Week 9 but was only able to produce 58 passing yards and two interceptions.
Their ground game wasn’t much better, as the Cardinals’ leading rusher was Tune as well, only rushing for 28 yards.
Murray’s presence could help the Cardinals get back on track in the second half of the season.
They might be out of the playoff hunt, but they could at least try and figure out their offense ahead of the 2024 season.
For a team that hasn’t had a lot of success or hope this season, Murray’s potential return provides something to look forward to.
