The Kansas City Chiefs headed to Germany to take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 9.

This was a highly anticipated matchup for a few reasons.

For one, it was an opportunity for two of the AFC’s top teams to square up, hoping to come away from the game with a statement win.

It was also an opportunity for Tyreek Hill to face his former team, something fans had long awaited.

Despite being one of the NFL’s best receivers, Hill finished the game with eight receptions for 62 yards.

It seemed like the Chiefs figured out the formula to stop him, which Trent McDuffie highlighted in a postgame interview.

According to McDuffie via Pro Football Talk, he said, “We knew we had to get hands on him.”

By getting physical with Hill off the line, Chiefs defenders were able to start winning the matchup right away.

Hill tends to beat teams with game-breaking speed, typically logging several big plays per game.

With the Chiefs taking that away early, Hill wasn’t able to impact the game as he typically does.

This was one of the major keys to the Chiefs’ success in this victory, a game that many expected to be a shootout.

While there are still a lot of games left to be played, this win came with a massive advantage for the Chiefs.

They now stand at 7-2, tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the top spot in the AFC.

This win kept them in contention for a first-round bye in the playoffs, something this team continues to be familiar with.
