The upstart Arizona Diamondbacks are heading to the World Series.
The Diamondbacks rallied from a 3-2 series deficit in the NLCS with a pair of road wins, capped by a 4-2 triumph over the reigning National League champion Philadelphia Phillies in Game 7 on Tuesday.
The Diamondbacks will now face the Texas Rangers in the World Series, beginning Friday in Arlington.
Trailing 2-1, the Diamondbacks scored two runs in the fifth to take the lead for good. The go-ahead run was driven in on a single by former Toronto Blue Jays catcher Gabriel Moreno.

Rookie outfielder Corbin Carroll, an all-star this season, drove in a pair of runs for Arizona and had three hits on the evening.
Brandon Pfaadt started for the Diamondbacks and gave up two runs in four innings before five relievers shut down the Phillies the rest of the way.
The Diamondbacks finished 84-78 this season, just enough for the sixth and final seed in the NL playoffs.
They upset the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Phillies to reach their first World Series since they captured the title in 2001.
Moreno and outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr., acquired from the Blue Jays in the Dalton Varsho deal in the off-season, both have played big roles in the Diamondbacks’ march to the World Series.
