The Buffalo Bills are coming off a surprising loss to the New England Patriots.
This dropped their season record to 4-3, leaving them in second place in the AFC East behind the Miami Dolphins.
Many fans and analysts have looked at Josh Allen and the Bills this season in a puzzled manner given how dominant they were during the 2022 regular season.
Craig Carton recently offered a potential reason for Allen’s lessened production, saying, “They’re messing with the kid’s brain and I think that’s the biggest problem in Buffalo right now.”
“Let Josh Allen just go out there and play football the way he plays it. They’re messing with the kid’s brain and I think that’s the biggest problem in Buffalo right now.”

Carton believes that if the Bills let Allen get back to basics, he’ll not only be able to help the Bills perform to their standards, but he can get back into the MVP conversation that he was in last season.
Through seven games, Allen has thrown for 1,841 yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
While his touchdown total is tied for the second-most in the NFL, his interception total is also second-highest.
He has put together plenty of massive games for the Bills this season, but, as evidenced in their loss to the Patriots, his interceptions have put the Bills in a comprising position.
If he can mitigate mistakes throughout the season, Allen should have no problem getting back to his typical levels of production.
Until he figures it out, Carton is under the impression that the Bills should go back to letting Allen do his thing, going about his process in the best manner for him.
The Bills have an opportunity to be one of the AFC’s top teams again this season if Allen gets back on track.
