Despite the Las Vegas Raiders waiting until the fourth round to select him in the 2019 NFL Draft, Maxx Crosby has quickly developed into one of the pass rushers in the entire league.
Crosby made an instant impact on the Raiders in 2019 as a rookie when he finished with 10 sacks, 31 pressures, and four forced fumbles.
Since then, the Las Vegas defender has continued to play at a high level, and through his first six games of the 2023 season, he’s already accumulated 5.5 sacks and 17 pressures.
Hall of Famer, and former Raiders defensive lineman, Howie Long recently shared why he believes Crosby is easily on the path to getting his gold jacket in Canton one day, via Up & Adams.
“Maxx is on the trajectory to not only be a great player [with the Raiders], but also… Maxx is on the trajectory to be a Hall of Fame-level player.”

That’s quite the compliment coming from someone like Long, who helped lead the Raiders to a Super Bowl win during the 1983 season.
Long has also been an NFL analyst on television for multiple decades, so he’s seen so many players come into the league and quickly flame out.
But this hasn’t been the case with Crosby, as he has taken full advantage of all the opportunities he has been given in Las Vegas, and there don’t seem to be any signs of him slowing down anytime soon.
Next up on the schedule for the Raiders and their Pro Bowl pass rusher is a road matchup with the 1-5 Chicago Bears.
The Bears just allowed five sacks in their Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, so Crosby should have plenty of chances to add to his 2023 sack total in this contest.
