Chiefs Give Injury Update On Travis Kelce

After stumbling right out of the gate against the Detroit Lions, who have turned out to be one of the best teams in the NFC this season, the Kansas City Chiefs are sitting atop the AFC West division standings with a record of 4-1.

Despite being on a four-game win streak while having pop star Taylor Swift cheering them on in the stands, the Chiefs haven’t been that dominant force that everyone was expecting to see this season, as they look very beatable moving forward.

As if that wasn’t a bad enough sign for the Chiefs moving forward, Kansas City is now dealing with another injury to superstar Travis Kelce, who suffered a lower-body injury in the win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Kelce didn’t practice on Monday, with the team set to take on the division-rival Denver Broncos on Thursday night at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

As was painfully evident in Week 1 against the Lions, the Chiefs aren’t the same team offensively without Kelce on the field, as he missed that game due to a knee injury he suffered in practice before the start of the season.

However, the Broncos are looking like the worst team in the league at this point in time, which means if Kelce is going to miss another game, it might not be a bad idea if it’s this one on Thursday.

Denver sits at the bottom of the division at 1-4 and doesn’t appear to be a team that will be turning things around anytime soon, especially on the road against the defending Super Bowl champions.
