After an impressive showing during the 2023 FIBA World Cup, Anthony Edwards will be looking to carry that momentum into the 2023-24 NBA season for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Edwards appears on the cusp of superstardom as he was the lead scorer for Team USA during the tournament and will be looking to take his game to the next level in Minnesota.

The young guard made his first All-Star team last season and there’s reason to believe he’ll be a permanent fixture in the exhibition game because of his immense talent for scoring the basketball.

The Timberwolves may have lost in the first round to the Denver Nuggets, but the future is bright so long as Edwards sticks around.

The former number-one overall pick is just 22 years old and will continue to get better as he gets more reps, a scary thought for opposing teams who already have trouble stopping him.

Edwards has already accomplished a lot at the NBA level, and his success led to an amazing honor from his city of Atlanta, GA  via Bleacher Report.

The speaker said the city was recognizing Edwards for his outstanding presence and his contributions to the community and proclaimed that Aug. 5 would be “Anthony Edwards Day.”

Aug. 5th is Edwards’ birthday and it’s an amazing honor for his hometown to give him his own day for celebration.

While having your own day must be an incredible feeling, Edwards understands that he’s got more work to do to uplift the Timberwolves and help them capture their first NBA Championship.
