The Chicago Bears have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL thus far.

Despite all the moves they made in the offseason and all the fanfare and hype entering the campaign, they can’t seem to get out of their own way.

And now, with Justin Fields calling out his own coaches in public, it’s more than evident that trouble is brewing in the Windy City.

That’s why Stephen A. Smith didn’t mince his words when talking about the organization, stating that they’re “trash” and it’s a shame that they represent the city of Chicago, via “First Take.”

He pointed out the fact that Fields, who ran for 1,000 yards last season, has only had five designed runs this season for a grand total of one yard.

He also revealed that he averaged over five designed runs per game alone last season, averaging more than 28 yards in that situation.

Smith believes that the Bears are trying to turn Fields into something he clearly isn’t, which is why it’s easy to understand why he said some things he shouldn’t have said.

Smith states that Fields has come to realize that he’s not being put in a good position and that he’s not being coached well, and even though he shouldn’t have called his coaches out in public, he made plenty of sense.

The Bears have a special talent on their hands, and they’re not doing anything to help him right now.

We’re just two games into the season and there’s still a lot of football left, but things don’t look right at all.
