Coming into this season, many felt the Dallas Cowboys had a legitimate shot at getting to the Super Bowl, and many cited their defense as a big reason.
So far, they have lived up to the hype, as they routed the shell-shocked New York Jets in Week 2 by the score of 30-10.
Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had 11 catches for 143 yards, and after the game, he teased Jets standout cornerback Sauce Gardner, via the NFL on Twitter.

Gardner is the NFL’s reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year, and he was named to both the Pro Bowl and All-Pro First-Team last year.
Because of him, many felt the Jets would have a championship-caliber defense, but the Cowboys made a mockery of that defense in Week 2.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ own defense is looking mighty, as it currently ranks second in both points and total yards given up.
They added star cornerback Stephon Gilmore to a secondary that already boasted Pro Bowl corner Trevon Diggs, and up front, Micah Parsons is one of the game’s best pass rushers and an absolute beast.
Right now, the NFC is a three-horse race between the Cowboys, the San Francisco 49ers, and the defending conference champion Philadelphia Eagles, and all three squads are 2-0 and getting it done with defense.
Dallas has won 12 games in both of the last two seasons, only to fizzle out early in the playoffs against the 49ers, their historic arch-rivals.
If quarterback Dak Prescott finally raises his game come playoff time, perhaps the Cowboys will advance to their first NFC Championship Game since the 1995 season, the last time they won the Super Bowl.
