The Cleveland Browns lost more than just one game.

Their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers also cost them their top offensive weapon, as star running back Nick Chubb suffered a “very significant” knee injury, as per coach Kevin Stefanski.

The Georgia product will miss the remainder of the season after taking a big hit to the knee early in Monday night’s divisional clash vs. the Steelers.

That’s why four-time NBA champion Draymond Green took to Twitter to send his thoughts and prayers in support of Chubb.

Chubb is one of the best running backs in the league and the fourth-highest earner at the position.

He was quite vocal about the running back market and how it’s hurting the position’s value every year, and this shows exactly why.

He’s one of the few lucky guys at his position who has a big contract, but that’s far from the trend in today’s game, and that’s only going to get worse.

On the one hand, it makes sense for teams to not want to invest in players who get hurt more often and whose primes tend to be shorter.

On the other hand, running backs do plenty of the dirty work and put their bodies through it all for the sake of the team, so it’s not like they’re disposable.

Chubb also suffered a major knee injury while in college and still managed to become a dominant force at the next level, so we can only hope that’s the case again when he comes back from this gruesome injury.
