The Kansas City Chiefs have experienced something that hasn’t happened while Patrick Mahomes is their starting quarterback.

They dropped a heartbreaking season opener to the Detroit Lions.

However, they have an opportunity to bounce back, starting in Week 2.

But the Jacksonville Jaguars are standing in their way to their first victory in the 2023 NFL season.

After what transpired in Week 1, some are already hitting the panic button with the Chiefs, calling their Week 2 game a must-win situation.

However, FS1’s Joy Taylor doesn’t buy that narrative.

“It’s gonna take so much for me to think that this is falling apart and going off the rails,” Taylor said.

While Taylor doesn’t see Week 2 as a must-win for the Chiefs, she mentioned another defeat could cost them a favorable postseason seeding.

The Jaguars did make it tough on the Chiefs during their encounter in last year’s AFC Divisional Round.

That experience gave Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars more confidence in 2023.

However, the Chiefs will have critical players Chris Jones and Travis Kelce returning to action.

Kelce sat out Week 1 due to a hyperextended knee, while Jones ended his holdout by signing a one-year deal.

Every game counts in the highly competitive AFC because it could spell the difference between playing at home or going on the road during the playoffs.
