The Detroit Lions are one of the most interesting teams heading into the NFL season.

Last year they shocked a lot of people by competing for a playoff spot until the final week.

The emergence of Jared Goff and Amon-Ra St. Brown allowed their offense to score with anybody.

Heading into this season, the Lions will not sneak up on anyone.

They are the favorites to win the NFC North and should once again be explosive on offense.

One exciting player they added to their offense is first-round draft pick Jahmyr Gibbs.

They selected him 12th overall and he is expected to see the field plenty as a rookie.

But, many people are wondering how the Lions plan to use Gibbs as a rookie.

According to Tim Twentyman, Lions OC Ben Johnson said: “We might use Gibbs in some ways that people don’t quite think we might.”

Gibbs has the potential to be one of the most exciting players in football.

He was an elite asset at Alabama and that is why he ended up being selected so high.

The Lions traded running back D’Andre Swift and let Jamaal Williams leave in free agency.

So they will have a new look running back room this year.

Gibbs and David Montgomery are hoping to show they can be one of the best one-two punches in the sport.

It will be interesting to see how they split the workload between the two in Week 1.
