At one point, Lonzo Ball was considered a star on the rise in the NBA with a bright future ahead as one of the league’s best point guards, with exceptional passing skills while being a formidable defender.

The Los Angeles Lakers were so confident Ball was a future star in the league that they drafted him No. 2 overall in the 2017 NBA Draft ahead of notable stars of today like Jayson Tatum, De’Aaron Fox, Lauri Markkanen, Donovan Mitchell, and Bam Adebayo.

Obviously, Ball hasn’t panned out like those other players have over the years and now could be facing a future without basketball, as he could be forced to retire due to his body simply being unable to hold up.

Ball has already been ruled out of the 2023-24 NBA season by the Chicago Bulls, as it has been deemed that he’ll need an extended amount of time to get back to form if he can ever get to that point.

Even though his basketball future may bleak, Ball let it be known that a documentary might be in the works that will be about himself and his brothers at Chino Hills High School, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic via Legion Hoops.

These days, documentaries seem to get made far too early, with players still playing their respective sports and their stories being far from over.

However, in Ball’s instance, this is actually an interesting idea, but he and his brothers took the basketball world by storm while at Chino Hills High School, which resulted in two of the three making their NBA dreams come true.

This could be a fascinating documentary, even though Ball’s career could be nearing its end.
