The New York Jets knew they had a talented football team last season despite finishing the 2022 campaign with a record of 7-10 and losing six straight games to end the season.

The missing piece was some stability and consistency from the quarterback, which they weren’t getting with Zach Wilson, who looks like a first-round bust for New York.

Fortunately for the Jets, the team was able to swing a deal with the Green Bay Packers to acquire superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which immediately addresses the issue and improves the play they’ll get under center for the next two years.

Now the pressure is on in New York, with the Jets considered to be legitimate Super Bowl title contenders, especially with the recent addition of star running back Dalvin Cook.

With all the pressure, Joy Taylor weighed in on whether anything less than a Super Bowl is a failure for the new-look Jets, via “Speak” on FS1.

Taylor says that she’s changed her expectations for the Jets from a Super Bowl appearance to an appearance in the AFC Championship Game due to the fact that there are so many talented teams in the conference this year.

Although that won’t satisfy the Jets fanbase that has high hopes for another Vince Lombardi Trophy in New York, that might be the most realistic expectation, with Rodgers and company having to contend with the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills in the AFC.

Those are only three of the expected title contenders in the AFC, where there could be many more.

It will be no easy task for the Jets to reach the Super Bowl this year, even with this roster, as they have a tough schedule and some battle-tested teams to get through.
