When Dalvin Cook was released by the Minnesota Vikings, it sent NFL fans into a frenzy.

There was initial confusion and frustration from Vikings fans, and supporters of other teams begged him to join their organization.

While it is still unclear where Cook will end up, Josina Anderson has recently narrowed it down to two teams.

Anderson indicated that the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are his two most likely destinations.

Both rosters employ running backs that are coming off injuries.

Breece Hall is recovering from an ACL injury, and Raheem Mostert has suffered several injuries in the past few years.

Cook proved last season that he still has a lot left in the tank, and could be a useful fill-in for either roster.

The Jets have more cap space than they were anticipating, given Aaron Rodgers’ recent voluntary pay cut.

This could be a sign that the team is looking to add a few more marquee players.

The Dolphins could also afford him, as they are looking for another complementary piece alongside Tua Tagovailoa.

However, the current state of the running back position is in an unfavorable place, and Cook might not get the pay that he’s hoping for.

He’s due $2 million this season, even if he doesn’t find his way onto a roster.

With that in mind, will Cook take a contract that he’s unsatisfied with, just to play in the NFL again?

That remains to be seen.

Based on Anderson’s comments, it appears that Cook’s choices are limited.
