Despite possessing one of the NFL’s most talented rosters over the last few years, the Buffalo Bills haven’t reached the Super Bowl and have made it to the AFC Championship Game just once.
They reportedly put up a banner at their team facility that has the Vince Lombardi Trophy on it, yet quarterback Josh Allen has said they don’t want their focus to be on the Super Bowl.
Commentator Chris Broussard took Buffalo to task for, in his mind, sending mixed messages about their true aspirations this season, via “First Things First” on FS1.
Are the Bills sending mixed messages?
“All of the Bills players know it’s Super Bowl Win or Bust. … They can be focused on the Super Bowl but also understand to get there, and to get to the playoffs, they have to focus on every team one game at a time.” — @Chris_Broussard pic.twitter.com/kl2t0F9WF5

At this time last year, many had the Bills as their favorites to win the world championship and Allen as the favorite to take home the regular-season MVP award.
They were cruising along for much of the regular season with an outstanding record, but then safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on that fateful Monday night and was lost for the season.
It’s very possible that the incident played a sizable role in Buffalo falling short of winning it all last season, as such an event can sap a team of lots of its emotional energy and focus.
This time around, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs is upset at someone and something in the organization, and it isn’t clear what the culprit is.
Some say he’s mad at Allen, but Allen has downplayed those rumors.
Buffalo has never won a Vince Lombardi Trophy, and it made the Super Bowl four straight times in the early 1990s, only to lose each time.
