Former New England Patriots star Asante Samuel recently bashed the organization and head coach Bill Belichick for how the team does business and how they treat their players.

Although Samuel had some success in New England, he’s been adamant about how much he didn’t like playing for the Patriots and recently received some backlash from current Patriots star Matthew Judon.

Interestingly enough, Judon wants to get his contract with the Patriots adjusted after having two solid seasons with the team, highlighted by 15.5 sacks last year.

As arguably the best defensive player in New England and one of the best in the league, Judon is worthy of having some adjustments made and making more money.

However, it’s not all that surprising to see Samuel come out and take a shot at the team and Judon once again in the wake of this news, which prompted another response from the Patriots star on Twitter.

Clearly, the Patriots need Judon’s production on the defensive side of the football, especially with the offense struggling as it did last season.

That said, Judon’s value has never been higher for the Patriots, but it will be interesting to see if the team makes an attempt to make their best defensive player happy and content ahead of the 2023 NFL season.

If the Patriots don’t appease Judon, only time will tell if it impacts the relationship he’s had with the team and if Samuel turns out to be right all along about what has been going on in New England.
