After last season came to an end for the Philadelphia 76ers, the first order of business for the storied NBA franchise was figuring out what is going on with superstar guard James Harden and whether he wanted to stay with the team on a long-term basis.

Although things seemed to be trending in the right direction with Harden, as rumors surfaced about him wanting to stay with the 76ers, that didn’t turn out to be the case as he opted into the final year of his deal and immediately requested to be traded.

Since Harden’s trade request, not much has happened in Philadelphia regarding trade talks with other teams and any traction toward getting a deal done, as the team intends to send him elsewhere before next season.

Harden has also made it clear that he wants to play for his hometown Los Angeles Clippers, even though he doesn’t possess a no-trade clause.

With Harden’s future in limbo, he’s taken to social media with some cryptic messages and did the same again on Friday via his Twitter account.

It seems as though Harden doesn’t believe he has anything to prove moving forward despite being a constant disappointment to his teams during the NBA playoffs and still without a title at this point in his NBA career.

Obviously, everyone has different measures for success, and Harden’s might be racking up points, assists, and massive contracts rather than filling up the trophy case.

At this point, it remains to be seen where he might land, but as of now, all signs point to Los Angeles.
