Today, Tom Brady is considered by most to be the greatest player in NFL history.
And while he spent most of his career as a part of the conversation, there was a time when there was still a debate.
Brady, however, always knew he wanted to make history and was a relentless competitor, always looking to one-up every single one of his rivals.
That drive was confirmed during Julian Edelman’s appearance on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast.

Edelman told the story of when they lost to the Denver Broncos in the 2014 AFC Championship Game and got to work almost right away.
Brady had written the location of the next Super Bowl on his whiteboard, telling Edelman that they would be playing the last game of the season there.
Edelman then told Brady that he was going to help him catch Joe Montana and his four rings, to which Brady responded that he wasn’t aiming for Montana but for Michael Jordan.
Notably, Brady didn’t just catch Jordan; he actually surpassed him with seven rings.
That’s just one of many stories shedding light on Brady’s insanely competitive nature.
It might take a while before anyone in any sport even comes close to doing what Brady did.
Perhaps Patrick Mahomes is currently the only player who could realistically aim for that, as Stephen Curry and LeBron James are also entering the backend of their careers, and they’d still need to win three more rings to just catch up to him.
