The MLB All-Star Game is next week and many pitchers need to decide if they are going to pitch in the game.

Most players that are selected look forward to playing in the game.

But depending on how the schedules line up, some pitchers are unable to pitch.

One star who will likely not pitch in the game is Shohei Ohtani.

According to Bob Nightengale, Ohtani told reporters he will likely not pitch in the ASG due to a blister on his finger.

This is disappointing for many baseball fans who were hoping to see the two-way star both at the plate and on the mound.

There has never been a baseball player like Ohtani.

He is doing things that MLB has never seen before and it is a ton of fun to watch.

Hopefully, Ohtani will still be able to hit in the game, which might be what he does best.

This season Ohtani leads all of baseball in home runs with 31.

He is coming off a month where he hit 15 homers and won Player of the Month.

Ohtani is the overwhelming favorite to win his second AL MVP award.

As long as he can stay healthy, he might win the award unanimously.

The All-Star Game is the one time a year when MLB fans get to see all the best on one field.

While that may still happen it is a bit disappointing that we will not get to see Ohtani pitch.
