Nick Wright Praises The Lakers’ Offseason Moves

The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t make any flashy moves or big blockbuster trades in the offseason.

Nonetheless, it’s not like they needed to do a lot, as they had already found a solid core of guys at the end of last season.

That’s why Nick Wright wanted to tip his hat off to LeBron James, stating that everybody knows he’s the actual GM of the Lakers — not Rob Pelinka.

Wright says that this roster makes sense, and that all teams thrive whenever they put together a roster around LeBron that makes sense.

He also said that the Denver Nuggets got worse by losing Bruce Brown Jr., so the gap shouldn’t be as wide between these two teams anymore.

One could argue that yes, in fact, losing Brown was a big blow for Mike Malone’s side, but also, he wasn’t the only reason why the Nuggets swept the Lakers.

The Lakers are pretty much the same team they were last season, and that’s a very good team.

But they still don’t have a counter for Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Porter Jr.

More likely than not, the Lakers will depend on whether Anthony Davis is capable of stringing good games together, which has been a constant issue since he arrived in Southern California.

As per usual, the Lakers will obviously be a candidate to come out of the Western Conference, but James isn’t getting any younger, and they don’t have the best roster in the league right now.
