$2.9 Million Homes in California


This house is in Royal Canyon, a historic district with many Spanish and Mediterranean Revival homes built in the 1920s and an active neighborhood association that holds events throughout the year. It is about a mile from Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School, a well-ranked public school for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The property is also close to Verdugo Park, which has open space for picnics and fields for soccer and baseball, and to The Americana at Brand, an outdoor shopping mall.

Driving to downtown Los Angeles takes half an hour. Burbank is about 15 minutes away.

It is also close to Mount Sutro Open Space Reserve, where hiking trails offering sweeping city views, and within walking distance of a public elementary school and the Parnassus campus of the University of California San Francisco.

Buses run down Parnassus Avenue, half a block away; getting to the Financial District on public transit takes about 20 minutes. Ocean Beach is about a 15-minute drive. San Francisco International Airport is half an hour away.

The hardwood floors continue through a wide doorway into a dining room with tall wainscoting and built-in cabinetry painted white.
