This house is in Royal Canyon, a historic district with many Spanish and Mediterranean Revival homes built in the 1920s and an active neighborhood association that holds events throughout the year. It is about a mile from Verdugo Woodlands Elementary School, a well-ranked public school for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The property is also close to Verdugo Park, which has open space for picnics and fields for soccer and baseball, and to The Americana at Brand, an outdoor shopping mall.

Driving to downtown Los Angeles takes half an hour. Burbank is about 15 minutes away.
