The Denver Nuggets are coming off their first NBA title in the franchise’s history, with Nikola Jokic cementing himself as the best player in the league after an incredible postseason performance.

Along with proving to many that he’s arguably the NBA’s best player, the Nuggets proved to be the most well-rounded team in the league and the least selfish, as Denver is fueled by a team-first mindset and attitude.

With the Nuggets potentially bringing back relatively the same squad next season, the consensus seems to be that Denver will be the team to beat once again, but of course, pundits like to stir the pot, especially ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

According to Stephen A. Smith, the Boston Celtics recently acquiring star forward Kristaps Porzingis was a game-changing move and one that makes them the favorites to win it all next season.

Former Nuggets head coach George Karl couldn’t disagree more, as he took to Twitter to shut down Smith’s take.

The way the Nuggets are built and the style of basketball that they play sets them up to potentially be the next dynasty in the NBA.

It’s too early to talk dynasty for a team that has just won its first title, but their recipe for success seems practically unbeatable as long as the team can stay healthy, namely Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.

There are no doubt some interesting teams around the league, like the star-studded Phoenix Suns and Boston, but until the Nuggets get beat in a seven-game series, Denver is the cream of the crop in the NBA with a potentially bright future ahead.
