7-Eleven’s Slurpee gets ‘eccentric’ look with new cup design

7-Eleven‘s iconic Slurpee is about to look a whole lot different. But don’t worry, Slurpee fans, the frozen beverage will still taste the same.

For the first time in four years, the convenience store chain has unveiled new cup designs for its popular Slurpee drinks. The fresh look, part of the retailer’s “Anything Flows” advertising campaign, features “eccentric colors and eclectic vibes” paired with a new logo of a large “S.”

The last time that 7-Eleven debuted redesigned cups was in 2019, when the Irving, Texas-based retailer updated the recognizable pinwheel look with a simple design of green maze-like lines. All told, 7-Eleven has revamped its Slurpee cups seven times since the beverage debuted in 1966.

“For nearly 60 years, Slurpee has been a timeless icon, bringing our communities together to help create moments of joy through the weird and wonderful experience that is the Slurpee drink,” Marissa Jarratt, 7-Eleven Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer, said in a statement. “Now, as we usher in the new generation of Slurpee, we celebrate this iconic brand’s evolution and its continuous ability to add a little more awesome to our customer’s day.”

The new Slurpee drink cups — with matching merch available for purchase online — are available at all 13,000 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations throughout the country.

How to get Slurpee deals

“Free Slurpee Day” on July 11 may give customers a great opportunity to see the new looks themselves. But throughout the summer, Slurpee lovers can also buy $1 small Slurpee drinks delivered directly to their door by downloading the 7NOW Delivery app from the App Store or Google Play, or by visiting 7NOW.com.
