After a very disappointing and disastrous 2022 season, the Denver Broncos have some new hope heading into next season.

They have a new head coach in Sean Payton, who is well-known for being the longtime coach of the Drew Brees-era New Orleans Saints, and he guided them to the Super Bowl championship in the 2009 campaign.

Denver is hoping that they will be able to celebrate a world title of their own very soon.

They apparently took a step forward toward accomplishing that goal when they agreed to terms with defensive end Frank Clark on Thursday.

The fan reaction to this move is mixed.

Some don’t like it, citing the fact that Clark is closing in on his 30th birthday.

But others like the move, especially since it will weaken the Broncos’ main rival in the AFC West.

The defending world champs have already lost No. 1 wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and star offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. this offseason.

On the other hand, some feel Clark won’t make enough of a difference, as they feel the Broncos will miss the playoffs again.

Clark, an eight-year veteran, has made three Pro Bowls, and last season he posted 5.0 sacks, 13 quarterback hits, and eight tackles for loss.

As a member of the Chiefs for the last four seasons, he has earned two Super Bowl rings, and that experience will be invaluable for Denver.

The Broncos haven’t made the playoffs since 2015 when they won the Super Bowl in Hall-o- Fame QB Peyton Manning’s final year.
