Many NFL fans dislike the fact that the Dallas Cowboys have long been called “America’s Team,” especially since the team hasn’t reached or won a Super Bowl since the 1995 season.
In fact, Dallas hasn’t even gotten to the NFC Championship Game since 1995.
However, the one thing that does give legitimacy to the moniker “America’s Team” is the team’s revenue.
According to an NFL on CBS tweet, the Cowboys lead all sports teams across the world in three-year operating income before taxes, interest, depreciation, and amortization.
In fact, they’re at almost twice the number as the second-place New England Patriots.

Despite Dallas’ inability to go deep in the playoffs, many people are still going to their games, buying jerseys and other merch and otherwise contributing to their revenue.
They have put together a rather competitive team over the last couple of years, and there is a growing suspicion that they may be the best team in the NFC East next season.
While the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles lost stars Javon Hargrave and Miles Sanders, the Cowboys added star cornerback Stephon Gilmore and wide receiver Brandin Cooks.
Tony Pollard, who made the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2022, will replace the outgoing Ezekiel Elliott as the team’s main running back.
However, Dallas will only go as far as quarterback Dak Prescott will take them, and many outside of the team are skeptical that he has what it takes to take the team all the way.
The battle for the NFC could be very interesting this fall and winter.
