Adam Silver Shares Ominous Ja Morant Update

Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is one of the NBA’s best and brightest young stars, and he is quite possibly the most athletically gifted point guard the game has ever seen.

But his immediate future in the league is in serious jeopardy, and it is a direct result of his own actions.

A few months ago, he gleefully showed off a gun during an Instagram Live and was suspended by both the Grizzlies and the league as a result, and recently, he was at it again, publicly displaying a gun in another video.

Commissioner Adam Silver opened up an investigation into this latest incident, and he suggested that he is waiting for the NBA Finals, which began on Thursday, to end before making an official ruling, according to Tim MacMahon.

By saying the NBA has “uncovered a fair amount of additional information,” he also implied that Morant could be facing some stiff discipline.

The guard was the Rookie of the Year three seasons ago, and he has taken the Grizzlies from a laughingstock to a very good team.

This season, they finished second in the Western Conference with 51 wins, although they fell to an upstart Los Angeles Lakers team in the first round of the playoffs.

Many feel Memphis has the potential to become a contender very soon, but Morant’s antics have cast a dark cloud of doubt on that potential.
