Tom Brady Has Emerged As A 2-1 Favorite To Be The Next Raiders QB

Tom Brady, arguably the greatest quarterback in NFL history, retired a few months ago, yet some wonder if he will actually remain retired.

After all, he announced he was calling it quits last offseason, only to come out of retirement just several weeks later.

Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders are starting a new regime with veteran Jimmy Garoppolo under center, who will replace Derek Carr, whom the team decided to move on from late last season.

However, the oft-injured Garoppolo had foot surgery in March, and there is a chance we won’t be ready for training camp this summer.

In the event he won’t be ready, an offshore sports book has Brady as the favorite to be the starting QB for the Raiders according to ProFootballTalk.

Brady is 45 years of age, and in 2022 he finally showed some cracks in his armor after looking nearly invincible for some 20 years.

He also visibly showed his frustration on the sidelines more than once, which was an unusual sight for a man whom most have been used to seeing wearing the poise and confidence that comes with seven Super Bowl championships.

The Raiders haven’t won a Super Bowl since the 1983 season when they were based in Los Angeles, and they do not possess any of the luster they had decades ago when Al Davis was their owner.

They have plenty of talent, including All-Pro first-teamers Davante Adams and Josh Jacobs, but they have a long way to go in terms of putting it all together, as they won just six games and missed the playoffs last season.
