Kyrie Irving’s future is already one of the most discussed topics of the upcoming 2023 NBA free agency.

The Dallas Mavericks point guard is a sought-after player who knows he will have options once the market opens up.

Irving has been linked with the Los Angeles Lakers this offseason, but the team might have more options than him for the point guard position.

Moreover, the Mavericks are trying to keep him on the roster, and if they can’t, they have no intention of helping him in a potential sign-and-trade.

Fans reacted to this report, some criticizing the Mavs for their decisions and others saying it is the right call.

Irving has been a controversial player in the past couple of seasons, and even though he didn’t star in any controversy in Dallas, some fans are wary that he’s the right piece for the team.

The team is making decisions on the prospect of having Irving and Luka Doncic on the roster next season.

They will keep building around the Slovenian player, and until further notice, Irving is still part of their plans for the future.

Still, other teams like the Lakers might be paying attention to this situation, and if the 2016 NBA champion decides to part with the Mavs, it’ll be through a new contract somewhere, not with the assistance of the Mavericks.

Kyrie Irving might be the hottest free agent this summer, and his pending decision is already making noise around the league.

Things look interesting right now, and it could get better if Irving makes a shocking decision.
