Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen is one of the most underrated players of all time, as he’s often overlooked as one of the best to ever do it.

Playing under the shadow of Michael Jordan was never easy for Pippen, but he embraced his role on the Bulls and tried to help his team whenever he could.

Many years have gone by since he decided to end his career, and more fans seem to appreciate Scottie more.

He was the author of one of the most memorable dunks in NBA history, and fans are celebrating that moment today.

Today marks the 29th anniversary of Pippen dunking on Patrick Ewing during the NBA playoffs, allegedly sending a message to the legendary center.

Tempers flared after that moment, and Pippen continued his attack on Knicks’ icons, telling Spike Lee to ‘sit his a** down.’

Pippen starred in more of these moments during his career, but there’s no doubt one of the most memorable happened during that game.

After many years of being Michael Jordan’s sidekick, he was given the keys to the car, and the Bulls couldn’t complete the job that year.

Still, the player left many good memories during his first year as the team leader before MJ made a shocking return in 1995.

Pippen has talked about this dunk plenty of times in the past, admitting it was a very disrespectful play that he enjoyed to the fullest.

The Bulls and Knicks had a big rivalry during those years, but the clear dominators were the six-time NBA champions.
