Affirmed

Affirmed is one of the best racehorses that have ever lived. Before American Pharoah repeated the feat in 2015, champion Thoroughbred Affirmed was the most recent horse to capture the Triple Crown. He won 22 of his 29 races from 1977 through 1979. He participated in some of the most prestigious and challenging events, including the Preakness Stakes, Belmont Stakes, and Kentucky Derby.

He also became the first horse to sweep The Belmont and The Travers since 1948. The “Champion Three-Year-Old Colt” title was his for all of the years from 1977 to 1979. He was also named “Horse of the Year” in 1977, 1978, and 1979. Many modern racehorses can trace their ancestry back to him; therefore, his legacy lives on. The incredible success of Affirmed is a monument to the value of hard work and perseverance, and it continues to inspire new generations.

Black Caviar

Black Caviar is widely regarded as one of the greatest racehorses ever to grace Australia. During her racing career from 2009-2013, she won all 25 of her starts, including a remarkable 15 Group 1 races – a still-standing record. Her extraordinary speed and powerful stride made her impossible to beat on the track, and she held off challengers with remarkable determination and grace. Owned by Rick Jamieson, Black Caviar was born on August 18, 2006, at Gilgai Farm in Nagambie, Australia.

She started her career with a bang and hasn’t looked back since. Sixty percent of the races she won were Grade I, indicating that this exquisite filly was destined for stardom. Her undefeated streak included 11 wins at the highest level in six states of Australia, crushing the Belmont stakes betting odds.

Winx

On September 14, 2011, Winx was born at Coolmore Farm in the Australian state of New South Wales. With the help of trainer Chris Waller, she rapidly became one of the most famous racehorses in history. She was victorious in 33 consecutive races and 36 of her 42 total starts. A record 28 of the 33 wins came in the Grade I competition. The combination of Winx’s lightning-fast speed and fierce will to win made for an exceptional career.

She has won the Cox Plate (twice) and Queen Elizabeth Stakes (twice) on four separate occasions, in addition to several other significant victories during her career. On the track, Winx was unbeatable because of her courageous attitude and held off rivals with incredible elegance and tenacity. Throughout her career, she received $26,421,176, making her Australia’s all-time top prizewinner.

Kincsem

Kincsem, often called the “wonder horse” of her time, is one of the most renowned racehorses in history. Kincsem was born in Kisbér, Hungary, on March 17, 1874, and had a remarkable record that speaks for itself — an undefeated streak of 54-0! She was known for her tremendous strength and speed, seeming invulnerable to any threats on the track. During her career, she won a total of 199,754.50 fl (approximately $3 million today) by taking home several prestigious titles.

Seattle Slew

One of the best racehorses to ever exist was Seattle Slew. Seattle Slew, a Champion Thoroughbred, is one of only two horses to be undefeated throughout their careers. Billy Turner and Douglas Peterson trained Lexington, Kentucky-born Seattle Slew. Despite training issues and a two-year-old injury, racing fans saw his talent.

Seattle Slew won 14 of the 17 races he competed in between 1976 and 1978, including nine Grade I wins. His most famous triumph came at the Belmont Stakes in 1977, when he upset the odds and proved that he was a one-of-a-kind horse that would become a legend.
