A Note to Readers

It’s been a rough few weeks for the media business. BuzzFeed News has been shut down. Vice News is going bankrupt. FiveThirtyEight has laid off two-thirds of its staff.

And — as I wrote for members earlier — the cable news networks are apparently turning once again to Donald Trump — and the endless controversy he generates — in a bid to regain viewers.

None of this is happening at Political Wire.

That’s because this site has the direct support of its members.

It’s based on a simple idea: I try to tell you what I think is important in politics each day. You subscribe so Political Wire may keep running as it has for more than 20 years.
