Chris Broussard React’s To De’Aaron Fox’s Injury

The Sacramento Kings came into their first-round playoff series with high hopes against the Golden State Warriors.

With four games in the books in this series, the Kings have proven they can compete with the Warriors and may ultimately be the better all-around team right now, but Sacramento suffered a major blow on Monday that could change everything.

It was reported on Monday that Kings star guard De’Aaron Fox suffered an injury to his left hand that has changed his status to doubtful for Game 5 at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

Chris Broussard of Fox Sports believes this injury may result in the Warriors advancing to the next round via First Things First.

The NBA playoffs have been riddled with injuries thus far, with some of the best and brightest in the league in both conferences dealing with injuries in the first round.

Fox is the latest notable name to be added to the long list of injured stars that includes Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid.

It remains to be seen how severe this injury is and whether it will genuinely impact Fox’s playing style and confidence on the basketball floor.

However, with these two teams being so evenly matched, Fox not being 100% for the rest of the series could be all that is needed for the scales to tip in the Warriors’ direction, meaning Golden State may take control in Game 5.

This is an unfortunate development for the Kings after giving the Warriors everything they can handle in this series, but it isn’t over yet, as Fox could power through this injury to help his team advance.
