Lightning will be without Jeannot, Sergachev for game against Senators

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be without forward Tanner Jeannot and defenceman Mikhail Sergachev when they play in Ottawa on Saturday night.

Jeannot, who was a deadline acquisition from Nashville, was injured on Thursday night after getting tangled up with Islanders defenceman Scott Mayfield and falling awkwardly on his right leg. He has flown back to Tampa to seek medical attention.

The 25-year-old, who was a deadline acquisition from Nashville that cost the team five draft picks, has just one goal and three assists in 20 games since coming over.

Sergachev’s absence is due to the fact he is about to be a father, the team reported. The 24-year-old Russian has nine goals and 51 points this season.
