Markstrom gets start for Flames vs. Jets in second game of back-to-back


The Calgary Flames are going with Jacob Markstrom in net in a big game against the Winnipeg Jets on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Flames and Jets, in a dogfight for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference, face off Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. CT / 5:30 p.m. MT on Sportsnet and SN NOW.

The Jets are two points up on the Flames for the final wild-card berth, with a game in hand.

The Flames are coming off a 4-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Markstrom made 19 saves on 23 shots while taking the loss.
